Vettaikaran Songs Review
The album 'Vettaikaran' begins with the devotional style canvassing song praising the deeds and able aspects of the star as 'Puli Urumudhu'. Usage of the traditional drum kit to produce a fast beat is once again rendered by music director Vijay Antony. On a steady pace, it's a fast paced song with added acoustics to enhance the traditional instruments.
The 'Urumi' sound adds pep to the song with heroic lyrics penned by lyricist Kabilan. Songsters Anandhu and Mahesh had sung it with a rural song touch. Might sound bit familiar at few stanzas due to familiar drum beats and on the whole it has the 'Thiruvizha' tone to the composition.
Watch out for the neat interlude with 'Asathoma Sathgamaya' in the middle!
2. Chinna Thamarai – Krish, Suchitra
A romantic song with Vijay Antony's rap touch that will immediately grab your attention with its disco style beats and brilliant synthesized instruments. Suchitra's voice is simply alluring and pulls you into the dreamy mood. Krish is apt in his rendering and sounds elegant.
Without any familiar notes, 'Chinna Thamarai' is mellifluous melody captivated with neat finishing touch. Interludes with chimney bell beats and the Akon rapping style makes the song simply superb promising a sure hit when it comes to the big screen.
3. Naan Adicha – Shankar Mahadevan
What else can we expect when the song starts with the lines 'Naan Adicha Thaanga Maata' sung by Shankar Mahadevan? Yes, of course a typical opening song with the cliched beat and a slew of advises for the fans with the lyrics penned by Kabilan once again.
Music is a treat for Ilayathalapathy's steps and a stunning choreography awaits fans for this fast paced song. Shankar Mahadevan's voice modulation in SPB's style is another plus point for the song.
Watch out for Vijay son's voice near the end of this song and he dances a few steps with his dad for this part!
4. Karigalan – Suchitra, Sangeetha Rajeshwaran
Commingling the western English lines and the rural words, 'Karigalan Kaala Pola' is a 'Graamiya Paadal'. Suchitra and Sangeetha's voice neatly blends with the Karagam instruments used in the song.
Lyrics by Kabilan are good to listen to. Adding jazz guitar and reversing the tempo in this disparate song is an innovative trial by Vijay Anthony definitely needs a mention. Overall, a notable number with some good music and has the potential to be hummed by one and all.
5. Uchimandai – Krishna Iyer, Shoba Sekar, Charulatha Mani, Sakthi Sree
With a deliberate motive to render the maximum number of songs for Vijay to dance, Vijay Anthony rendered another dance number. A fast paced duet with the music nothing to write home about!
Is tad appealing and the songsters have done a decent job. The USP lies in the high class instrument used along with synthesizers.
Vettaikaran Movie Review
The first schedule of Vijay’s upcoming Vettaikaran is over at Rajahmundry in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
The grapevine is abuzz that Vijay is spotting a new look for the film, which will not be revealed immediately.
The film produced by A V M Balasubramaniam and directed by Babu Shivam, has Anushka as heroine. The buzz is that the film is an action packed family entertainer laced with comedy and sentiment.
As per sources in the unit, the hero introduction song was picturised in which Vijay’s son Sanjay has danced with his dad against an Ayyanar temple background. Then hero meeting heroine for the first time in a very comic manner was shot in a Railway Station. Added to that some talkie portions were also canned in and around Rajahmundry.
The second schedule of the film is to start in Chennai in the second week of April, and it will be shot mostly at AVM studio including a set song. Vijay Antony is composing the second song likely to be a duet
Vettaikaran not hund Diwali!
ources close to the actor says that the film is not likely to be ready for release, as a song is being shot followed by post production work, and it will be impossible to get it ready for the festival of lights falling on October 17.
A song which was to be shot in New Zealand, was changed due to certain visa problems.
Now the same song which was to be shot abroad is being canned at Pune, Lonavala and surrounding areas on Vijay and Anushka
Vettaikaran Vijay
Speaking of this, more than the performance of the movies at the box office, it would be interesting to watch the belligerent strategies adopted by two major television networks to promote their movies.
Vettaikaran songs on Vijay
Proven dancer Vijay has a mini competitor in the movie. The actor's little son has given company to Vijay in one of the fast numbers, supposedly the piece-de-resistance of the music composer's work.
Vijay has paired with Anushka for the first time and the chartbusting numbers are seen as an indication of the movie's success. Vijay will be seen in the garb of a common man fighting for the rights of his brethren. The movie is directed by Babusivan. Think Music has the music rights.
